Sébastien Destercke has been a CNRS researcher at the Heudiasyc Laboratory since 2011. Before that, he was a research engineer in CIRAD (institute of agronomical research for developing countries), and before that did a thesis on uncertainty modelling for nuclear safety. His research has contributed to various aspects of belief functions, from information fusion and conflict management to machine learning.
If elected, one of my main goal for this term would be to revisit the statutes and bylaws of the association with willing members of the board, as I believe they may be improved. Otherwise, I would help in the society regular activities.
